The House was originally designed in the 1860s as a holiday retreat for the Astley family who owned the Arisaig estate, and it retains the country house feel with impressive halls and staircase, well appointed bar, sitting areas, and dining room, plus a full size billiard table in a dedicated room on the second floor.Anon, Morten-in-Marsh
